Two Varied Thrushes have returned and have been busy in recent weeks. There are people in the complex who have bird feeders up year round. The Martin Luther King weekend and today we are having bigtime snow in Washington, and as I see the pair foraging on the ground I hope they are keeping well in the storm. These thrushes have poked around the grounds and parking lot...hope they don't ingest pesticides, grease, snow salt, or cat or dog poop. And people set off three explosive fireworks last night.
