World Oceans Day is June 8th - Tucker the Conservation Canine at Zazzle

The United Nations started the holiday called "World Oceans Day" in 2008. Largely the UN is concerned about abundant, edible food for humans. The way to achieve sustainability and abundance is by the 7 billion+ humans relying on a plant-based diet. Cattle ranching on land and overfishing the seas are examples of resource-depletion, made inexorably worse with unchecked human population growth. Industrial processing of flesh for human food uses more fresh water than the Earth has to spare. There is little hope while enabling those practices to simultaneously achieve restoration and perpetual health of the environment.
