June 14th is Flag Day USA - Zazzle

One of the longest-running Flag Day parades is held annually in Quincy, Massachusetts, celebrating its 62nd year this year.

62nd Flag Day Parade and Celebration

Saturday, June 15 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM

Location:   Parade Route and Pageant Field
The 62nd Annual Flag Day Parade and Celebration will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013. The parade will kick off at 7:00 p.m. from Coddington Street and works its way through a 1.5 mile route before culminating with a celebration and firework display at Pageant Field. All are encouraged to attend.

By the way, The Quincy Animal Shelter is at 56 Broad Street, just a few minutes walk from the starting point of the parade (Quincy High School). The Quincy Animal Shelter is a no-kill shelter with approximately 100 volunteers. See their work at:

Here is the route of the parade and celebration which goes from 7PM to 10 PM ending with an award ceremony honoring Mr. Frank Santoro, and a fireworks display (ban noisy fireworks please!) at Pageant Field.
