Mrs. John Glenn Photographs Her Husband Card from Zazzle

Here is a card showing a moment in 1998. It has been fifty years since Astronaut John Glenn drove Friendship 7 solo around the Earth three times. John Glenn married his high school sweetheart and has been married seventy years. He was born in New Concord OH and left Muskingam College to become a Marine pilot after Pearl Harbor was bombed. He served in Korea too. They called him Magnet Ass because of all the gunfire his planes took. Click here to listen to fascinating 3 minute clip on NPR. What a courageous and upstanding man.
